The fifth graders will be working on creating and interpreting graphs, including: pictographs, bar and double bar graphs, histograms, line plots and line graphs. A Graph Project, due Friday 12/21, will reveal their knowledge. Students will create a line plot using head measurements we collected in class last week. They will also create a graph of their own choice as part of the project. An open book Quiz covering Text Book pages 152 - 168 will be held on Friday. Students should review their homework from lessons 4-1 through 4-6 and their vocabulary cards. The Chapter assessment will occur on Thursday 12/20. We will continue to review skills needed for decimal division in our spiral notebooks and students will receive a division assignment this week as well.
The fourth graders will be using their Multiplication Facts to learn Division. They will continue practicing skip counting, creating tables of multiples and using array models to multiply and divide. Chapter 4 will conclude with an assessment on Friday. They have done a great job practicing their facts!
