Week of January 6: Welcome Back & Happy New Year

MATH

Fourth Grade Math
4th Graders begin Chapter 5: Factors, Multiples and Patterns this week. This Chapter will prepare us for Fractions by covering divisibility rules, prime and composite numbers along with identifying factors and multiples of numbers. We will not have a Chapter 5 quiz Friday since we have a shortened week. On Friday we will also take a Computation Test very similar to the Computation Review Homework Sheet given over break.  To practice skills for Chapter 5 see  "Carmen San Diego Animated Math Models" Grade 4 icon (skills 20, 21, 22).  Also, students should continue strengthening Multiplication Facts. You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com (website listed in Tab above).
