MATH
Fourth Grade Math
This week, 4th graders will cover Chapter 9, Relating Fractions to Decimals, Lessons 9.4 - 9.7. There will be a Quick Quiz (5 questions) on Thursday. We will wrap up the Chapter with a Quest (Quiz/Test) on Tuesday, April 29th.
Reminders:
To practice decimal skills covered in Chapter 9, logon to GoMath activities "Carmen San Diego Animated Math Models" Grade 4 icon (skill 34-37) and Mega Math Fraction Action.
Students should practice Multiplication and Division basic facts frequently with worksheets, flashcards or websites. You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com, play online games (see Math Websites Tab above), or borrow some "Holey Cards" from Mrs. Hall.
Fifth Grade Math
5th graders will continue with Chapter 8, Dividing Fractions and Whole numbers. There will be a Quick Quiz (5 questions) on Wednesday and a Quest (Quiz/Test with 10 Questions) on Friday.
Reminders:
The GoMath online activities offer good ways to practice Math skills. To practice skills for Chapter 8, GoMath Carmen San Diego Animated Math Models for Skills 27-28, and Mega Math "Fraction Action".
Multiplication facts are very important for Fraction skills. Students should practice these skills frequently with worksheets, flashcards or websites. You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com (website listed in Tab above).

SCIENCE
Fourth Grade
4th graders will begin reviewing Chapter 1, Life Science, for a Chapter Test on Friday.
Fifth Grade
5th graders will correct answers to the questions on Lesson 1 - Review. There will be a quiz on Lesson 1 on Wednesday. On Thursday we will begin Lesson 2.
Reading, Spelling & Vocab Highlights
Reading: Lesson 22 "The Power of W.O.W", Genre: Play, Realistic Fiction.
Students will hand in final copies of their persuasive essays on
Wednesday.

Workbooks due on Thursday.

Religion
We will return back to studying Family Life, reviewing Unit 1 God's Gift of Family and covering Unit 2, God's Gift of Self. We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and Holy Week. Students will also turn in their Stations of the Cross reflection packets on Wednesday, April 23rd.
