MATH
Fourth Grade
This
week we will continue in Measurement and Data. We will
not have any quizzes or tests
due to the revised schedules for V.I.P. Week.
Fifth Grade
This week we continue Chapter 11, Geometry and Volume, our final chapter! Students will receive an online assignment to use the GoMath Online system to help them practice the skills from Geometry. Vocabulary is very important so I will encourage students to review it nightly. We will have our final Computation Test on Wednesday with problems just like the review packet students received.
4th & 5th Grade Multiplication Facts
Most fourth graders should aim for completing 25 facts per minute and fifth graders should aim for completing 30 facts per minute. Some fifth graders have PASSED all their multiplication facts quizzes. You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com, play online games (see "Math Websites Tab" above), or borrow some "Holey Cards" from Mrs. Hall.
Fifth graders will begin retesting on facts they have not yet mastered this week. Each student received a list of facts to practice each week.

Religion
This week we continue in Chapter 11 - The Teaching Church. We are also going through the first few chapters of the Book of Daniel and discussing the role of the Prophets in the Old Testament. I think it correlates with how God places people in both the Old and New Testament to teach, guide, and lead us in the faith. There will be no tests or quizzes due to the schedule changes for V.I.P. Week.
