MATH
Fourth Grade Math
4th graders will continue with Chapter 12 Measurement this week. We will cover customary measurements of length, capacity and weight (Lessons 1-4) along with Elapsed Time (Lesson 8). We will have a quiz on Lessons 1-4, and Lesson 8 on Thursday. On Friday, we begin metric measurements and students will receive an End-of-Year graded take home assignment, due on Wed. May 28th. The last day to turn in any missing work will be Thursday, May 29th. 4th graders will demonstrate multiplication fact fluency with oral drills this week. Students should practice Multiplication and Division basic facts frequently with worksheets, flashcards or websites. You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com, play online games (see Math Websites Tab above), or borrow some "Holey Cards" from Mrs. Hall.

To practice customary measurement skills covered in Chapter 12, logon to GoMath activities "Carmen San Diego Animated Math Models" Grade 4 icon (skill 45,46,47,53).
Fifth Grade Math
5th graders will continue with Geometry covering Polygons, Triangles, Quadrilaterals and Prisms (Lessons 1-5) and having a Quiz on Thursday. 5th graders should update and review their vocabulary packet nightly to help remember these concepts. 5th graders will also receive an assignment to log on to the , Go Math Carmen San Diego Animated Math Models for Skills 40-44 as practice for this Chapter. On Friday, students will receive an End-of-Year graded take home assignment, due on Wed. May 28th. The last day to turn in any missing work will be Wednesday, May 28th. SCIENCE
Fourth Grade
4th graders will begin Lesson 3 and learn how young animals are similar and different, discover what behaviors animals get from their parents and explore what animal behaviors are learned. There should be a quiz on Lesson 3 on Thursday.
Fifth Grade
5th graders will be reviewing for a Chapter 2 Test on Thursday and completing an activity about inherited traits.
