MATH
Fourth Grade
4th graders will wrap up Chapter 3, Multiplying by 2-digit numbers this week. We will cover Lesson 7 solving multistep problems on Monday, work on a Chapter Review packet on on Tuesday and Wednesday, then take the Test on Thursday. Use Carmen San Diego Math Models, Skills 11-12, to practice skills in Chapter 3. Remember we need to share logins 1-4 at this time.
Multiplication Facts: Students were timed for 5s last week. If they met their goal, they will proceed to the 4s then the 9s (we discussed tips for learning your 9s). You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com, play online games (see Math Websites Tab above), or borrow some "Holey Cards" from Mrs. Hall.
Fifth Grade
5th graders will continue with Chapter 3, Decimals. We will cover Lessons 6 - 11 with a Quiz on Friday. I anticipate the test on Thursday November 13th. Use Carmen San Diego Math Models, Skills 16-18, to help with Chapter 3 skills.
Multiplication Facts: Continue practicing multiplication facts. We will progress to the 3s, 4s, 5s and 9s in the upcoming weeks. Memorizing the squares early on (2x2,3x3,4x4) will help as we progress. You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com, play online games (see Math Websites Tab above), or borrow some "Holey Cards" from Mrs. Hall.
