Week of January 12

It's the last week of the quarter, so please remember that all 3 book reports are due by Friday morning at the latest.  All missing work is due by Thursday, 1/15.

Check out the schedule for Social Studies Presentations (below). Parents invited to attend.

MATH

Fourth Grade
4th graders will begin Review of Chapter 5 Factors, Multiples and Patterns on Monday, with the Test on Wednesday.  They will take the Quarter 2  Computation Test on Thursday (exactly like the Homework Review WS they completed over the break). Students should review long division skills prior to the Computation test by watching the division video in Math Websites Tab and Carmen San Diego Math Models, Division skills 17-19.  Use Skills 20-22, to practice concepts from Chapter 5. Remember we need to share logins 1-4 at this time.

Multiplication Facts: Students are aware that they are responsible for Mastering multiplication facts up to 10. Please continue to practice facts as we will work on Fractions most of the 3rd quarter.  Most students should be on the  4s, 9s, or 3s now having passed 2s and 5s. You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com, play online games (see Math Websites Tab above), or borrow some "Holey Cards" from Mrs. Hall.

Fifth Grade
5th graders will correct the Chapter 5 Review Packet on Monday and take the  Chapter 5 Test on Tuesday. DUE TO THE TEST ON TUESDAY, I will be available for After School Math Help on Monday instead of Wednesday this week. Students should be working on their Decimal Restaurant/Shop Project this week, as it is due on Friday, January 16th.  Use Carmen San Diego Math Models, Skills 20-21, to help with Chapter 5 skills. GOMATH Online Access:  To use the website we should continue to share the logins for numbers 1 - 4 ( instead of individual student numbers).

Multiplication Facts: Continue practicing multiplication facts at home. You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com, play online games (see Math Websites Tab above), or borrow some "Holey Cards" from Mrs. Hall.
