MATH
Fourth Grade
4th graders were given an Online Scavenger Hunt assignment due on Wednesday. The purpose is to get to know the materials, skill resources and games that are available online (at ThinkCentral) with the GoMath books. See the Math Website Tab above for a link to the ThinkCentral website. This week, Chapter 1, Lessons 3-5, covers Comparing, Rounding and Renaming/Regrouping whole numbers. We will have a short quiz on Friday. Students are allowed to use their Student Edition and Spiral notes on all Friday quizzes. As a result, I recommend students take both books and their spiral home each night to help with homework and use as resources.
Students are expected to practice Multiplication and Division basic facts frequently with worksheets, flashcards or websites. You can print your own worksheets from Math-drills.com, play online games (see Math Websites Tab
above), or borrow some "Holey Cards" from Mrs. Hall.
Beginning next week, September 10th, I am offering before and after school Help for Math. See times published below.
